The game definitely has an issue with AMD cards because AMD cards perform much worse in DX 11.1, which I'm told is what this game was coded in, despite it requiring Windows 10.1 S.p.A. The 5700 XT is roughly between the 20S, closer to the 2070 in most cases. It did nothing for my performance, and in the Fort I actually dipped down to 17 fps while an achievement popped up and I was being escorted on a tour near the beginning entrance. My other idea is that the game has performance issues with AMD, I guess the devs are working on fixes? A 5700XT is equal to which Nvidia card? I don't know the AMD ranges very well anymore, sorry. I just put myself in true full screen, and put the SMAA. I'm in game, at home I'm at 60 FPS in 1440p ultra settings, and between 15ms and 30ms rendering input, 98% GPU utilization, and 200/210 watts of power consumption, according to my Nvidia chart with my RTX 2080 first generation. ![]() I want to love this game but it's pretty sad how poorly it performs on my rig, and I realize I have a midrange system but still it's only at 1080p so this shouldn't be an issue. I see you have an AMD processor, I have an Intel, maybe the game has problems with AMD? Did you do all your updates? I tried these settings on a Ryzen 3600 paired with a 5700 XT gpu and 32 gb of DDR4 3200 mhz RAM on an SSD drive. Did I express myself badly? I don't speak English, I help myself with a translator sorry. Originally posted by ok, on my PC these two settings really make a difference. If the developers had alternatively implemented one of the Low Level APIs DirectX 12 or Vulkan, overall fps would be a lot higher - even in the current version of ELEX2. NVIDIA GPUs in general benefit from improved Multithreading capabilities in DX11, but ELEX2 also calculates too many Drawcalls running at the same time and they are already over the limit what D3D11 API can handle in most scenes. When you would run the game at 1440p you could presumably add around 7 to avg fps, but at 1080p, performance with your specific GPU gets probably worse - here you could expect +5 avg fps.Īt 1080p resolution a RTX 3060 Ti would probably beat your 6900 XT with 5 more avg fps, but the XT would still beat the RTX 3060(not Ti) with more than 5 avg fps.Īt 2160p the RTX 3080(not Ti) can't beat your 6900 XT, at 1440p the RTX is probably slightly faster again and at 1080p it would presumably beat the 6900 XT with +20 avg fps. Here some expected fps statistics with your setup and the current ELEX2 version for lower resolutions: This game runs decent for me, but yes it could use a performance patch.A result of 50 fps avg with 6900 XT at 3840x2160 - in settlements or larger camps your fps will probably go below 30 fps from time to time. It can dip lower at a big city or at the bandit camp like anyone would. I get around 50 fps avg with 6900 xt and ryzen 7 with nvme, 32gb ram. ![]() Originally posted by Jrm:The game isn't the best optimized, but it is not the worst game ive seen this year yet at all. ![]()
